Back from Land of the Cats

To be honest, I am still in holiday mood. Maybe I am still missing the food and fun in kuching, or either this semester is just to relax due to it only has two subjects... Yea, I am shock too, didn't expect that this semester I am only require take up two subjects and everyday I'll only need to attend college for 2 hours~ That sounds fun right?

Anyways I still miss kuching and really disappointed in this trip because I didnt get to eat most of the good food in kuching. Dunno is all the hawkers in kuching is either too rich or just pure laziness. Normally most of the chinese will open thier shops on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year, even the latest is the 5th day. But guess what? This year even until the 5th day still 70% of the shops and stall are still closed! This is my annual food tasting session in kuching and they let me down...

By the way did I mention that kuching fireworks will replace the amount of stars in the sky during new year? Yea everyone are either too rich or just too into the festive mood, on new year eve when the clock just strike 12, fireworks are soaring up the sky non stop. I know its is beautiful to watch but do you know one blast like that cost you RM70.00? And that lasted for at least 30 minutes =.= But its fun anyways xD because we don't get to see that in KL at all..

Look at the size of this!

The fireworks... I know the ceiling is blocking... but its hard to catch the timing ok.. and its raining that time.. the best i could give.. the others are just too blur or the timing is not right.

And my cousins and I have also bake a cake for my grandpa since his birthday is on the 3rd day of CNY. PS: I know the middle pile look like a piece of shit, try my best already lol it was meant to be a rose xD

Char Kueh- This really rocks!!The best char kueh I ever eaten. For those who dunno what char kueh is, it is normally made from radish, minced and is taken to steam till firm and after that they fry it with eggs and other ingredient. But instead of radish, this stall allow you to choose from yam or pumpkin.

Sio Bee- Sio Bee is what we call siu mai in KL it is just in hakka (I think) since hakka is quite widely use there. This store serve good sio bee with soya milk... It is in town where there are quite alot of nice food stalls are.

Here comes the famous Laksa! The soup is just fabulous, and always remember to ask for an extra lime and belachan.

Another well known dish in kuching.. the Tomato mee.. but I think this stall is just ok.. taste abit like kids meal with full of nutrient..

The 3 Layer Teh C Bing!!!! OMG this is the best drink you can ever get in Kuching! The sweetness, the smoothness, the complexion.. everything is just perfect.. but too bad the cup in the picture is not as great as how I describe it because the good one i tasted last year is still closed for chinese new year =.= My greatest disappointment..

The front view of the house...
The classy front door..

I believe every one will goes for visting during this festival right? This house is just too pretty that I cant resist from posting it. It is the most beautfull house I've visited this year. Plus it's unique, the house number is number 7, and the land is also a shape of 7. Even thier car plate is 777! It also have a carp pond and a small fountain in it.

Ok and for the ending, this is something interesting i found while walking in the market...
You know what is it? look at the next picture of a closer look..
Sago Worm!! According to my uncle last time when they were small they cook these worms to eat... And he says it is very crunchy when deep fried, tasty when fried with black sauce.. I was hoping to try a few, but they say you need to buy alot only syok.. one or two is not nice so i kindly rejected, because I am scared that it is not tasty and I am force to finish everything..

Ok so thats all for now.. Just hope I will get good results as my results are coming out soon..
